Cyber Security & Cloud Expo Europe Amsterdam

On 20.09-21.09.2022, team: of employees of the Poznan University of Technology consisting of Mariusz Żal, Ph.D. and Michal Weissenberg, M.Sc. and two employees of the University of Catania participated in the Cyber Security & Cloud Expo Europe conference held in Amsterdam. This conference was part of the TechEx Europe event, which is Europe’s leading technology exhibition and conference for businesses, consisting of 6 events covering:

  • IoT
  • AI & Big Data
  • Cyber Security & Cloud
  • Blockchain.

The key themes at TechEx Europe were innovation in AI & Big Data, Blockchain, Cyber Security and IoT ecosystems. As well as the impact of these technologies on a range of industries including manufacturing, transport, supply chain, government, legal sectors, financial services, energy, utilities, insurance, healthcare. A large part of the conference was dedicated to data security and the latest developments in the construction and surveillance of IoT systems. The most important and frequently used attacks on company infrastructure and resources were also presented.

Conference participants had the opportunity to learn about the offerings of companies such as Palo Alto, Snyk, Recorded Future, AWS, and many others, as well as hear about trends in cyber security and IoT. The conference also featured companies involved in auditing, penetration testing, anti-virus software, network and device security, and many other aspects in which students are to be educated as part of the education profile being developed. In addition, during the talks, the participants learned about the companies’ needs in terms of knowledge and competence, which will allow the developed education profile to be better matched to the needs of the labor market.
