SPINAKER Program – Intensive International Education Programs.

The main objective of the Program is to internationalize Polish institutions of higher education and science.

Specific objectives of the Program:

• Increase of interest in the educational offer of Polish higher education institutions among foreign students and/or doctoral students;
• To increase the participation of foreign students and/or doctoral students in educational programs at Polish universities;
• Offer extension of intensive international educational programs, implemented also in hybrid or remote formula.

Project description

The project “Cyber Security as a catalyst for internationalization of universities and staff development” is implemented within the framework of the National Academic Exchange Agency’s SPINAKER program – Intensive International Education Programs, financed by the European Social Fund under the Operational Program Knowledge Education Development (Contract No. BPI/PST/2021/1/00073/U/00001). The value of the granted support for the project is 750,496.56 PLN.

The aim of the project is to develop an IMPK in the field of cyber-security of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions and to offer it to students of EUNICE European University and other partner universities. The IMPK will be characterized by an unique approach aimed at providing knowledge and skills for a comprehensive approach to data security in IoT solutions: starting from where data is generated/collected, through its transmission, to its processing and analysis with the use of artificial intelligence. The project will result in a 140-hour IMPK, offered in a hybrid and online mode. Materials will be prepared in the form of videos, presentations and instructions. An important component of the IMPK will be the development of a software in the form of a virtual machine, which will enable the course to be delivered both in hybrid and online modes. The project will provide remote access to physical devices. In order to ensure the highest level of IMPK, the teaching staff capacity will be enhanced as a result of their participation in courses offered in the field of cyber security by leading global universities and companies. Implementation of the project will translate into an increase in:  the quality of the teaching staff, the teaching offer, the number of foreign students recognizing the benefits of studying in Poland, popularization of Poland and Polish universities and cooperation with universities in the EU and the US. The IMPK will be made available to Polish universities participating in the European universities initiative/other forms of exchange.
